Biography

James Gibson is a designer and artist who has developed broad design skills including graphic, interaction & interface design. James is experienced in designing across different technology platforms including PC, mobile phones, Web and digital television, as well as producing creative design solutions for print. An active participant in the UK and international art & design community, not only in practice, but in education, where James is involved in the teaching of design and research projects as well being a lecturer in renowned Design Institutes, and currently teaching at the prestigious IAMAS in Gifu. Previously James worked as Senior Human Interface Designer at Sony Design Centre Europe. He was responsible for a number of commercial products as well as being involved with core research and development projects at Sony worldwide.






With his artwork he explores the nature of simple process and composition while moving between computed and fortuitous mark making. Previously James worked as Senior Designer at Sony Design Centre Europe and as Service Designer at live|work.
